Mind Harmony: Discover Inner Peace
Brain-Based Trauma Therapy That Works When Traditional Therapy Hasn't
Brain-Based Trauma Therapy That Works When Traditional Therapy Hasn't
Mind Harmony is a practice dedicated to providing evidence-based, developmentally sensitive, and biologically respectful mental health care. We provide specialized Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics© (NMT™)- informed brain mapping assessments and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults seeking clarity, regulation, and lasting change.
We use a brain-based assessment to understand why traditional therapy hasn’t worked—and exactly what your nervous system needs to heal.
The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics© (NMT) is a developmentally sensitive, neurobiology-informed approach to clinical problem solving. NMT™ is not merely a specific therapeutic technique or intervention; rather, it is an approach that integrates essential principles of neurodevelopment and traumatology to enhance counseling efforts with children, families, and the communities in which they reside.
Due to the sequential nature of development, children who face adversity at various ages and in different contexts present with unique challenges and exhibit a range of developmental and behavioral impacts. To address this issue, the Neurosequential Model™ (NMT™) utilizes research from diverse disciplines, including neurosciences, anthropology, developmental psychology, and public health, creating a practical framework for clinical teams to develop a brain map of the client’s developmental history and current functioning. This approach enables professionals to provide counseling and therapy in an evidence-based, developmentally sensitive, and trauma-informed manner.
This approach serves as an invaluable tool when combined with other therapeutic interventions to enhance the mental health and overall functioning of both children and adults.
"The Neurosequential Model© is a developmentally-informed, biologically respectful approach to working with at-risk children." --Dr. Bruce Perry
NMT™ Clinical Consultations are facilitated by Julie Reeves, MAS, LAC, NMT-I, a clinician specifically trained in infant mental health and certified in NMT™ assessment metrics, as well as a board certified licensed associate counselor. NMT™ Clinical Consultations are ideal for cases requiring a deeper understanding of developmental abilities and deficits, which is essential for identifying effective therapeutic work, especially in the context of trauma.
NMT Brain Mapping & Feedback Package
The Neurosequential Model© Approach encompasses three key components:
1) Training & Capacity Building;
2) History, Assessment & Completion of a NMT™ Metric;
3) Individualized Recommendations in the NMT™ Metric Report.
The recommendations derived from an NMT™ Metric include guidelines for selecting and sequencing therapeutic, educational, and enrichment activities that align with the unique needs and strengths of the child, adolescent, or adult, ultimately reflected in their brain map.
